Configuring a new data source

Overview

Data sources are systems or files that provide information to Ortto. Data sources are where person (contact) records and other relevant data originate. These can include customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce, analytics platforms like Segment, e-commerce platforms, or CSV file uploads.

By connecting data sources to your CDP, you can centralize and unify data from various channels, enabling a more complete and accurate view of your customers. This centralized data can then be used for analysis, segmentation, personalization, and other key marketing and business activities.

Accessing data sources

To access the data sources page, click on CDP from the sidebar > select Data sources.

Managing data sources

The Data sources page allows you to connect and integrate your data sources with Ortto, as well as import data from a data source.

To configure a new data source integration in Ortto:

  1. On the Data sources page, click on the + New data source button.
  2. On the Connect a data source page:
    • Click the data source you want to integrate with Ortto, or whose data is to be imported, from the Popular tab.
    • Otherwise, if the data source is not available on this tab, click the tab that best represents your company’s type of business or category of data source.
