System activities

Overview

This article lists all the system activities automatically added to your Ortto account, along with their definitions. It helps you understand when each activity is triggered and whether you want to sync them to a destination webhook or Salesforce.


General activities

Attributed

This activity is recorded when a conversion takes place. Learn more about attribution.

Entered audience

This activity is recorded when a contact becomes part of a specific audience.

Left audience

This activity is recorded when a contact is no longer part of a specific audience.

User session

This activity is recorded when a known contact visits your website/app.

Website session

This activity is recorded when an anonymous person visits your website/app.

Tag added

This activity is recorded when a tag is added to a contact.

Tag removed

This activity is recorded when a tag is removed from a contact.


Email activities

Activity

Definition

Sent email

This activity is recorded when has been successfully sent from our system to a recipient's email server.

Received email

This activity is recorded when the recipient's email server has accepted the email sent from our system.

Opened email

This activity is recorded when the recipient opens the email.

Clicked email

This activity is recorded when the recipient has clicked on a link within the email. We record one activity per link click.

Reacted to email

This activity is recorded when the contact reacts to the email through the reactions element.

Forwarded email

This activity is recorded when the contact has forwarded the email to another person through the forward footer link.

Viewed email online

This activity is recorded when the contact views the email online through the view online footer link.

Bounced email

This activity is recorded when the contact bounces. Learn more about bounces.

Deferred email

This activity is recorded when the recipient’s mail server has temporarily refused delivery. Learn more about deferred emails.

Invalid email

This activity is recorded when the email cannot be sent. Learn more about invalid emails.

Abuse reported

This activity is recorded when a contact marks your email as spam.

Subscribed to email

This activity is recorded when a contact subscribes to receive emails.

Unsubscribed from email

This activity is recorded when a contact unsubscribes from receiving emails.

Unsubscribed from email audience

This activity is recorded when a contact unsubscribes from a specific email audience.

Subscribed to email audience

This activity is recorded when a contact subscribes to a specific email audience.


SMS activities

Sent SMS

This activity is recorded when an SMS message has been successfully sent.

Delivered SMS

This activity is recorded when the recipient's mobile carrier has accepted the SMS message.

Clicked SMS

This activity is recorded when the contact has clicked on a link within the SMS message.

Replied to SMS

This activity is recorded when the contact has replied to the SMS message.

Responded to an SMS survey

This activity is recorded when the contact has responded to a survey sent via SMS.

Responded to an SMS NPS

This activity is recorded when the contact has responded to an NPS sent via SMS.

Bounced SMS

This activity is recorded when an SMS message sent to a user bounces. Learn more about SMS bounces.

Deferred SMS

This activity is recorded when the delivery of an SMS message is deferred, typically due to temporary issues with the recipient's carrier.

Invalid SMS

This activity is recorded when the SMS cannot be sent. Learn more about invalid emails.

SMS abuse reported

This activity is recorded when a contact reports an SMS message as spam or abuse.

Subscribed to SMS

This activity is recorded when a contact subscribes to receive SMS messages.

This activity is recorded when a contact subscribes to a specific SMS audience.

This activity is recorded when consent for SMS communication is requested from a contact.

This activity is recorded when a contact fails to give consent for SMS communication.
