DNS email

While the email forwarding setup for each domain name system (DNS) is a little different, depending on your provider, it’s likely that you populated an email alias with your Ortto Talk inbox address. Usually this can be configured via your domain host’s console or dashboard, and this is likely where you will disable DNS email forwarding.

Here are some tips for popular providers:

  • Google Domains: In your domain dashboard, navigate to Email > Email forwarding then remove the Ortto Talk inbox email alias. The instructions in Google’s Forward your emails from email aliases article may help you to locate and manage the email alias configuration. Note that Google Domains has entered into an agreement with Squarespace to acquire all domain name registrations from Google Domains. As such, you may need to manage your email aliases via Squarespace.
  • Namecheap: In your Namecheap account, navigate to Domain list > Manage. Then you should be able to see your email alias under the Domain tab, when you can click the X to remove the alias. The instructions in Namecheap’s How to set up Free Email Forwarding article may help you to locate and manage the email alias configuration.
  • CloudFlare: Instructions for disabling email routing can be found in Cloudflare’s article Disable Email Routing.
