HubSpot actions

Overview

This page describes all HubSpot actions which are added to your Ortto account after configuring HubSpot as a new data source.

Accessing HubSpot actions

HubSpot actions can be accessed by:

  • In a Playbook campaign: Navigate to the actions tab at the top of the screen > New action > Select the Pipedrive tab.
  • In a Journey campaign: Add a new shape > Action > Pipedrive > Select the relevant action.

Create record, Update record, and Create or update a record

The Create recordUpdate record, and Create or update a record actions allow you to create or update object records in HubSpot.

NOTE: The available HubSpot object types will be based on those imported after integrating Ortto with HubSpot.

Upon choosing one of the above actions:

  1. On the Setup page, select a HubSpot Object type.
  2. Click Add field to add one or more relevant fields.

NOTE: Ortto automatically fills these fields with relevant merge tag values from your CDP. You can also customize them using the filter feature. See available object fields at Action fields.

3. To associate the object record with another HubSpot object, click Add association. This will update the associated object records with the fields you select.

5. , Then, click either:

  • Test action: to test the action. This will execute the action and the results will be available in your HubSpot account.
  • Create: to add the action to your journey or playbook campaign.

NOTE: If you do, ensure these values map to valid HubSpot field values for your chosen object type. Otherwise, Ortto will return the relevant HubSpot error and this HubSpot action will fail in the campaign it has been used in. Learn more about using filters in Working with filters.

NOTE: Occasionally, certain action shapes in a journey may fail temporarily due to various factors. In such cases, instead of marking the shapes as failed immediately, they will be reprocessed automatically up to 12 times. Learn more about how failed journey actions are retried.

Deal Stage

The category of the deal stage.



Pipeline

The pipeline a deal is in, which determines the deal stages the deal will move through.



Create Date

The date the deal was created.



Close Date

Time and date

The day the deal is expected to close, or was closed.



Deal owner

Single select

The user from your team that the deal is assigned to.
