List of languages

Setting a person’s language field value may be necessary for audience segmentation and to identify which languages you need to support in your email campaigns, using Ortto’s multi-language feature.

To create or update a person with a language preference, using the POST method at https://api.ap3api.com/v1/person/merge, include in your request body the language object as follows:

Example create/update people request body in Ortto’s CDP

json

{ "people": [ { "fields": { "str::first": "Chris", "str::last": "Smith", "str::email": "chris.smith@example.com", "str::language": "de" } } ] }

NOTE: Ortto customers who have their instance region set to Australia or Europe will need to use specific service endpoints relative to the region:

  • Australia: https://api.au.ap3api.com/
  • Europe: https://api.eu.ap3api.com/

For example: https://api.eu.ap3api.com/v1/<entity/endpoint>

All other Ortto users will use the default service endpoint (https://api.ap3api.com/).

Or to find people based on their language, using the POST method at https://api.ap3api.com/v1/person/get, add a filter like the following:

Example create/update people request body in Ortto’s CDP

shell

{ "limit": 100, "sort_by_field_id": "str::first", "sort_order": "asc", "offset": 0, "filter": { "$str::is":{ "field_id": "str::language", "value": "de" } } }
