Editing a live playbook

Overview

After a playbook has been published, it can continue to be edited as needed. This guide outlines the process for editing an ongoing playbook to support necessary changes to the workflow.

Accessing a playbook

To access a playbook, go to Marketing > Campaigns > Select your playbook.


Editing an existing message in the playbook

You can manage existing emails in your active playbook by entering the campaign, clicking the options menu for the message you'd like to update, and selecting Edit.

This will direct you to the message's overview page. From here:

  • You can click Edit to update the message's content,
  • continue to the Review step of the editor,
  • and then select the Publish button to.

Publishing the updated message will allow the new version to be used when this email is sent going forward.


Adding a message

To add a new message to a playbook, click + Add message in the top right of the Message tab.

Messages will send to contacts who reach that step in the playbook after it’s turned on.

If your playbook is set to send messages at least X days apart, messages are sent in order. If you add a new message in the middle, contacts who have already passed that point won’t receive it, they’ll continue from where they are in the sequence.
