Organizations is now > Accounts

Overview

We’re renaming Organizations to Accounts across Ortto. The feature and its functionality remain the same, only the name is changing. Read on to learn what this means for you.


Why this change

We’re doing this update to better reflect the language our customers use every day, especially those working in B2B settings. By adopting this more familiar term, we aim to make Ortto feel more intuitive and aligned with how you naturally describe and organize your contacts and business entities.


What’s changing

Anywhere in the Ortto platform where the word Organization appears will be renamed to Account. This includes:

Sidebar and menu labels under CDP:

Sidebar: Before & after.

Index pages and filters:

Filters: Before & after.

Person and customer record sidebars:

Contact record: Before & after.

Settings and custom field configurations:

Custom fields: Before & after.

All other areas where the label Organization appears, such as Reports, Data Sources, and Activities, will be renamed to Account.

The feature itself (how it works, how it connects to People, Campaigns, etc.) is not changing.


What this means for you

You don’t need to do anything, this change will happen automatically.

  • Any filters, journeys, or reports using Organization will continue to work. The label will simply update to Account.
  • If you’ve referenced Organizations in custom field names, team documentation, or training, you may want to update those to match the new language.
