How to send campaign notifications and performance summaries

This page describes what campaign notifications and performance summaries are and how these can be turned on or off for each campaign type.

What are the campaign notifications?

Campaign notifications are a method to keep you up-to-date on when the campaign has been successfully sent and provides performance summary insights from the first 24 hours.

If Campaign notifications and performance summaries are enabled in the Profile settings, individual email and SMS campaigns receive:

  • A notification when the campaign is successfully sent. This includes the number of successful subscribers and an image preview of the campaign.
  • A summary of the campaign results in 24 hours after it's successfully sent.

This feature will only be enabled for email and SMS campaign types.

Note: Journey and Playbook campaigns can be enabled separately, these settings are discussed below.

Notification and email preferences

You can set your account’s default Notification and email preferences by clicking on your account name in the bottom-left corner, then click Profile settings.

Manage your Notification and email preferences in the General tab. 

Choose to receive Campaign notifications and performance summary email updates by selecting the checkbox and then Save.

This setting will be configured across all Ortto accounts you have user access to.

NOTE: After this is enabled, only new email and SMS campaigns sent will receive the successfully sent email notifications and summary results of the first 24 hours in the 24-hour email follow-up.

Journey email notifications

When you enable email notifications, the specified recipients (account users) will receive emails at a frequency of your choosing with a snapshot report and link to the Report tab within the journey.

To switch on email notifications:

  1. On the Campaigns page, click your journey to access it's settings.
  2. On the journey page, click More.
  3. Click Email notifications.

  4. Click ON to configure the email frequency.
    1. Select the Recipients and Schedule (the schedule can be set Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly and Monthly).

      5. Click Done.

When you select a schedule and configure the email notifications, you will then receive an email update related to the schedule set.

This will include the results of the campaign from the Report tab of that specific campaign it's been enabled on. It will also include a View report button which redirects you to that page.

NOTE: The recipients selected would look to receive email notifications based on the schedule set at around 9:00 am in their timezone. A specific time can't be set.

Playbook email notifications
